My service offerings are built on a strong grounding gained from extensive research and over 30 years of coaching, counseling, Facilitating large and small groups, training, and consulting with individuals, groups and organizations.
I use a positive approach and various tools built over 30 years of helping people that will help you to overcome inherited trauma that has left you with a sadness and perhaps anger that you cannot shake. I also help you identify and overcome patterns of behaviours that do not serve you.
Design of Cross-Generational, Cross-Cultural Conferences with people from all sides of an issue
I design large and small conferences aimed at surfacing overt and covert stories (stories that are known and stories that are unknown either consciously or unconsciously) that aim to build new understanding of self and others, and to bear witness and acknowledge individual and community experiences that will release a long standing sense of loss, pain, outrage or betrayal ultimately moving forward to live a whole and joyful life while commemorating their difficult history.
Small Group Dialogues for Inheritors of Trauma
Similar to the description of the conference work above, I provide Small Group Dialogues in a safe space where, through the magic of the group and reflective exercises, small groups of individuals will come together to find new knowledge, different versions of themselves and a feeling that the burdens they carry emanating from their traumatic legacies is released and they can move forward to live an whole and more joyful life, as well as lighten the burdens of the history they carry, at the same time honouring and passing that history forward.
I design and tailor workshops for all ethnic and religious communities facing particular problems from traumatic and devastating events - Vietnamese, South Sudanese, African Americans, Indigenous, Jewish, South American etc.
I offer poetry writing workshops because I find poetry can access your soul in a way that narrative doesn't. My poetry book, "Poems of Angst and Awe" is a compilation of poems I have written since the age of 10 and looks a lot like what a lifetime is made up of. It is an example of the different styles possible, in other words, anything that emerges is valid and great!
I love to speak on the topic of moving forward from generational trauma, the roots of racism and violence, how to process your story, and the importance of dialogues for breakthroughs from family and collective pain. Having spent over 30 years training and making presentations, I can tailor presentations to your audience, large or small from 30 to 3,000.
